A few words from Barry:

I’m excited to officially be part of the Pepper Money family as the new General Manager, Mortgages and Commercial Lending. Thank you to everyone who has made me feel welcome already.

I’ve had a diverse background, starting my career as a corporate lawyer with Norton Rose Fulbright and later transitioning to senior leadership roles at GE Money and HSBC. Prior to joining Pepper Money, I spent 11 years at Aussie Home Loans where I held numerous roles across legal, company secretary, sales, and product management

Today, I’ve got a clear mission to grow our brokers’ businesses and help more customers succeed through Pepper Money loan solutions. Not only is Pepper Money a well-respected brand, but it’s also backed by the very best people, and on massive growth trajectory to further help Australian families.

As a business that never stands still, we’ll find new ways to invest in broker initiatives, leverage best-in-class technology, and provide more efficient lending process to ensure ongoing enhancement of the offering and our compelling broker value proposition.

More than ever, there’s a big appetite for alternative lending in the Australian market. There’s so many opportunities and growth potential among the new and upcoming generation of borrowers, small business market, and the growing self-employed market that are looking for products and options that are built to accommodate their real-life circumstances. These are the ‘square peg’ customers who have otherwise been stuck with ‘round hole’ options in this market.

I’m proud to see that Pepper Money is a business that always challenges the status quo and evolves with customer and broker needs. Ultimately, it’s Pepper Money’s sharp purpose and values that really define what we do and why we do it. Giving real people, with real life circumstances, the opportunity to enter their own home, to refinance, buy that car they want, or consolidate their debt – whatever their goal is, we’re there to help make it happen.
